Lake Erie College and Cleveland Rugby Working Together

Come learn about rugby in Cleveland during the March Your Way Into Health fair at Harvey High School in Painesville on March 15.

The Cleveland Rugby Club is joining forces with the Joseph G. Weber Physician Assistant Student Society of Lake Erie College, the Painesville Recreation Department and Lake Health Wellness Institute for a free community health and wellness fair.

Sports teams and organizations from the area will have booths set up to provide information to attendees about what they can offer. The Cleveland Rugby Club will be in attendance handing out information regarding rugby in the area from youth up to adult. Those interested in learning more about rugby opportunities available in the Cleveland area are invited to come to the health fair and find the rugby booth. There will also be other helpful healthy activities going on at the fair.

There will be health screening for adults, including BMI, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol readings. There will be special activates throughout the day, which include a motivational talk and football skill presentation by former Ohio State University and NFL lineman, James Cotton; a karate demonstration with participation opportunities and a Mini-Olympic competition for children. Those who attend are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes they can be active in.

The event will take place Sunday March 15 from 11:30am- 3:30pm at Harvey High School. The event focuses on health-related issues that concern adult as well as children. Topics range from nutrition to physical activity.
