Cincinnati Rugby Academy Brings Top Talent to Forwards Camp

The Cincinnati Rugby Football Academy  is holding a one-day camp for forwards interested in increasing their set piece proficiency. The event is called the 2016 Scrum and Lineout Camp and is open to players at any level of the sport.

The camp will take place February 20 and run from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Game On! Sports Complex. The cost per participant is $50.

The Camp will take participants through a complete scrummaging and set piece development program that incorporates player and coach development pieces. Those who attend will be able to develop or sharpen their set piece skills under the tutelage of Jason Ryan and Tony Flay.

Ryan has coached in New Zealand for a number of high-level teams, including the New Zealand U20s; Canterbury, of the ITM Cup and Crusaders Academy. He also has a number of coaching credentials to match. He is also currently the Director of the Front Row Club.

Tony Flay is a former hooker for the Eagles and played for the New Zealand U19 team. He has also coached for a number of high-level teams, like Bay of Plenty, Katikati and Hautapu.  He is the current Forwards Coach for the no.-six-ranked VMI.
