Cincinnati Academy Hosts Clinic to Benefit Backs, Pack, Coaches Alike

The Cincinnati Rugby Football Academy is doing its part to further the education of rugby teams around the state. As a part of this effort, the Academy will host its Back Attack and Scrum Clinic.

This clinic will take place on August 20, 2016 and go from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The event will take place at the Wolfhounds' home pitch, Brimelow Fields (6440 Stockton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45242).

The clinic will bring Brad Mooar and Tony Flay to Brimelow Fields to focus on the topics of clinical attacking in the back line as well as set play and phase play with the pack.

Topics being covered on offense will range from counter attacking and winning possession to focusing the attacking radar. Defensive areas of focus will be overall placement, tackling form and structure of the defensive line among, other things. One theme that will be constant throughout the entire clinic is how players can implement their new skills safely.

This clinic is open to players and coaches of all levels. Entire teams are encouraged to attend as well. Those in attendance should bring their rugby kit, rugby boots, a mouth piece and a readiness to learn. Registration fees for coaches is $50. Groups of eight or more will have the fee reduced to $40.
